The response to www.sylviasaltwater.com has been tremendous and I’ve gotten lots of interesting comments. I want to share some with you:
I’m addicted to collecting string and have 22 string balls of various sizes in my living room lining bookshelves, the mantel and coffee table. My husband tolerates my craziness but says if he ever finds them on his Barcalounger he will take them to the back yard and burn them. But that’s a chance I’ll have to take. My goal is to beat the 1992 record by making a ball of string larger than 13ft. 2.5 inches in diameter. I’m working on that in our barn. When I heard about Scorpion’s string balls, I went nuts. I’d LOVE to have some of his string to add to the ball in the barn. Can he send me a couple of yards?
Stringy in Seattle
I can ask but I know he’s very wrapped up in his string, no pun intended.
Would it be possible for me to get some photos of Max’s fanciful foodscapes and hors d’oeuvres plates? I make miniature food platters out of polymer for dollhouse collectors and miniaturists.
Would it be possible for me to get some photos of Max’s fanciful foodscapes and hors d’oeuvres plates? I make miniature food platters out of polymer for dollhouse collectors and miniaturists. I’ve been sitting in this basement for 45 years doing the same thing and need a little inspiration at this point. Please help.

Dear A. Minikin,
You can find Max’s designs in back issues of “Garnishing Today” magazine. Would love to see Max’s ideas in miniature. Good luck!
My girls and I love reading your blog on breaks between customers. Scorpion sounds so hot, he’s likely to set his bun on fire. Any chance we can get his email??

Sorry girls! That information is mine.
We’d love to see Aunt Daisy run for President in 2016. Is there any chance she might consider this?

Dear Edna and Pals,
Since Aunt Daisy will be 84 in 2016, I have my doubts. However, she may get tired of running the farm and she’s had a lot of experience slinging manure so Washington might have some appeal. Who knows?
Thank you, Sylvia!
I’m a funeral director and don’t get a chance to smile a lot. Conversation is limited. So, I truly appreciate reading Sylvia’s Journal and getting away from it all.

Always glad to make someone smile!
I’m a sewer worker in N. Y. C. and don’t get to see the sun a lot. Thanks for brightening my life.

Glad to bring a ray of light to your world.
I’ve had 65 requests for Aunt Daisy’s email address but she has asked me to filter them and not to give it out unless it’s a man, he’s over 40 and still has all his teeth. As you can imagine, filtering gets tricky.
Thanks for all your comments and support. It means a lot. I love you all!
